My wedding equipment is fairly simple. I use top quality gear to help me get top quality from the shots I take:
Canon 5D mark iv - My main camera with superb image quality.
Canon 5D mark iii - Another great camera which is my secondary camera that I use mainly for wide angle shots.
Canon 70-200mm f2.8 lens - An outstanding lens and my main wedding lens enabling me to shoot from various distances so I don't get in the way!
Canon 24-105mm lens - Another quality, versatile lens which give me the focal lengths the 70-200mm cannot.
Atom flash gun - Versatile flash light that I use for some of the portraits and evening shots when It's dark.
Pocket Wizards - Reliable triggers to trigger the flash lights.
Mavic Pro Drone - Awesome piece of kit - it's changed my life as far as group shots go!
Landscape and Vlogging Equipment
Canon 5D mark iv - Brilliant image quality and very versatile for different types of photography.
Canon G5X - It's a fantastic vlogging camera. I looked at the G7X but it doesn't have a view finder, this one does. That made the difference for me.
Canon 17-40mm lens - Great image quality and a much cheaper option to the 16-35mm for the sake of 1 stop of light. Used on a tripod for landscape - no brainer for me.
Canon 70-200mm f2.8 - brilliant for landscape when you're trying to get perspective and detail and the image quality is immense.
GoPro Hero 4 silver - versatile and small and ideal for all sorts of situations especially when used with accessories.
Joby Tripod - For holding the G5X
Zoom H1 Audi Recorder - I love this little gadget. Great audio quality for outdoors and for such a low price.
Rode Smart Lav - Quality little mic to use with the Zoom.
Mavic Pro Drone - Small, light and can carry it around anywhere. It just makes your videos better!
I love my studio! It's based in Middleton, Manchester and when I'm not doing weddings I'm generally in the studio doing portraits of children, families and headshots. There's so much satisfaction in getting a shot of a kids' natural smile or reaction. Similar to my wedding style, a 'real' photo comes from just that - a real reaction. Thats how I see it anyway.
